Qualifications available
Almost all higher education in Australia is offered by universities. After completing your secondary education, you can go on to study for:- a diploma
- an advanced diploma
- an associate degree
- a bachelor's degree
- a graduate certificate
- a graduate diploma
- a master's degree
- a doctoral degree.
Currently, there are nine universities in Queensland teaching approximately 186,000 students on 26 campuses. Additionally, there are more than 20 non-university providers and overseas institutions that operate in Queensland. The Queensland universities are:

- Central Queensland University
- Griffith University
- James Cook University
- Queensland University of Technology
- The University of Queensland
- University of Southern Queensland
- University of the Sunshine Coast.
